What kind of phone do I need?
Phones are suggested to be exposed (users should not have to fumble with doors or latches) so choose weather resistant or weatherproof depending on your facility and exposure. Some state laws or your internal company policy may require that all phones must be ADA (Americans w/ Disabilities Act) Complaint. 

 

Where do I place Parking Area phones?

Telephones located in covered or uncovered parking areas should be placed in clearly visible, strategic spots around the facility and on ALL levels. A good rule of thumb is: your guests should not have to run more than 50ft to access an emergency phone.

 

What?s the best means to place them?

Make sure to install phones at a level where all persons and those in wheelchairs & scooters can access the phone. Label all phones with appropriate signage/instructions that are in large letters and short, to the point. Utilize international symbols whenever possible.
